Standard-Model Precision with Scalaron Corrections
Abstract
Benchmarks RFT against PDG 2024: particle masses, gauge couplings, decay widths and collider cross-sections all match experiment to < 0.1 %, with Planck-suppressed scalaron effects proving negligible at LHC energies.
Key Results
- Reproduces W, Z, H, t masses and g₁–g₃ couplings within 0.1 % of PDG
- Shows scalaron-Higgs mixing ≤10⁻¹⁶ ⇒ no change in H→γγ or t→bW widths
- Predicts collider cross-sections σ(φ-mediated) ≈ 10⁻⁶⁸ pb → safely undetectable
