FRG & BRST Consistency of the Scalaron–Twistor Theory
Abstract
Carries out a full quantum-field audit of RFT. Functional Renormalization-Group equations reveal an interacting UV fixed point, rendering the theory asymptotically safe. A BRST quantization shows the ghost spectrum cancels anomalies, while higher-derivative operators are UV-benign, eliminating Ostrogradsky instabilities.
Key Results
- Finds non-Gaussian UV fixed point for gravity + scalaron via FRG
- Demonstrates BRST-based anomaly freedom and unitarity of gauge sector
- Proves absence of ghosts in higher-derivative curvature terms
